Accessibility Statement

This is the official accessibility statement for CBCOM. If you have any questions or comments about this statement or the content on this site, please contact us.

Navigation Aids

All pages use relational links to aid navigation in text-only browsers. Netscape, Mozilla, and Opera users can also take advantage of these links.

Standards

  • All pages on this site are valid XHTML 1.0, validated using the HTML validation service provided by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
  • All pages on this site are presented using valid style sheets, validated using the CSS validation service provided by the W3C.
  • All pages on this site comply with level "AA" of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), as laid out by the W3C. Some of the issues cannot be automated, but we have read the guidelines and believe that the pages on this site are in compliance.
  • All pages on this site use structured semantic markup. H1 elements are used for the main titles, and H2 elements are used for subtitles.
  • All pages are device independent.

Visual Design

  • The site uses relative font sizes that can be changed to suit your preference using the "text size" option of your browser.
  • All pages are laid out using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
  • If the style sheets are not used, the content of each page is still readable.
  • None of the content is dependent on colour alone.
  • All images contain an alt attribute to provide a description of the image.
  • Where necessary, a longdesc attribute is provided to give a fuller description of the image.
  • Link names are written so they make sense when read out of context.
