We can provide particle count measurements and certification, our complete testing and comprehensive reports will ensure your facility is meeting a certified specification.
Standards of cleanliness is measured by the amount of microscopic particles found in per metre cubic of air. The ISO 14644-1 standard sets up ISO classes ranging from 1 to 9; ISO Class 1 being the most stringent.
The standard of cleanliness to which data centres/computer rooms are recommended to be kept is ISO 14644-1 Class 8 or better. ISO Class 8 allows 832,000 1μm particles per cubic metre.
More and more hardware manufacturers are now insisting that the environments in which their equipment is located is kept to a high level of cleanliness, often including conditions to their OEM warranties.
The table below shows the Airborne Particulate Cleanliness Classes ISO 14644-1 1999.
